The science and technology that is associated with modern ocean going water craft has advanced as much as aviation over the last 50 years. Ships are bigger, heavier, faster than ever and include navigation systems that allow them to practically operate themselves but sometimes things just do not go as planned. The hulking Milano Bridge, a 1,200-foot-long container ship, was attempting to dock at the port of Busan, South Korea. The ship approached a pier with the help of a pair of tugboats, but for reasons so far unknown, the stern careened into one of the towering cranes on the dock.
