By now, most everyone is aware of the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian across much of Florida. Emergency management crews were well prepared and mobilized for, what many are calling, “a 500 year storm” but sometimes there are things you just cannot plan for. In parts of the state, the storm surge pushed farther inland than in any recorded history and caused record flooding. In the city of Ft. Meyers, the water levels reached so high that sea life was seen swimming down the streets.
