Whales are typically considered very intelligent animals. Marine biologists have been studying these amazing creatures for years and they typically have predictable migration, eating and behavioral patters and however sometimes things just do not go as expected. Recently a 40 foot humpback whale found itself confused or lost in Ventura California Harbor. Footage of the whale showed it swimming back and forth between the docks trying to find its way back out to sea but was unsuccessful. Authorities contacted the US Coast Guard and the Fish and Game Department to use electronic devices that mimicked whale sounds to lure it out of the marina.
