Perona’s Product Post – Volume 3: WebCalendar for Scheduling and Dispatching

Last time we introduced TimeGrid, now let’s review one of our scheduling tools. A key component of a Project Management system is to provide a way to schedule resources that match the task requirements.

The WebCalendar supports filtering by Team, Dates, Project, Task, Department and Skills. Additionally, as you can see above, you can view the Resources and their availability and workload across date ranges in the top right section.  The colors represent hours already consumed.   

To  schedule a Task, simply choose a Customer and Project in the top of the left panel, then drag a task from the list on the left onto the Calendar on the right and assign a Resource.   The calendar can be viewed by Day, Week, Month and Resource.
